IpDoor Video Door Phone Overview
Section titled “IpDoor Video Door Phone Overview”
This document uses the IpDoor Touch video door phone as the reference device. The IpDoor Flush video door phone is also compatible with CyberGate.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”The IpDoor requires two additional licenses to connect to CyberGate:

Both licenses can be purchased from your IpDoor supplier.
Important: The IpDoor can call to a configured Teams user, but it is not possible to call the IpDoor from Microsoft Teams.

CyberGate Teams App Features
Section titled “CyberGate Teams App Features”The CyberGate app for Microsoft Teams provides:
- 🚪 Open door — Click a button to open the intercom door during a call
- 📊 Device status — View device online/offline status and initiate calls with one click
- 👥 Availability — Set your status in CyberGate Multi-ring groups
Recommendation: Installation of the CyberGate app for Microsoft Teams is highly recommended.
Configuration Steps
Section titled “Configuration Steps”Step 1: Connect to IpDoor Console
Section titled “Step 1: Connect to IpDoor Console”- Connect the IpDoor to the network and power it on
- Open a web browser and navigate to:
https://console.ipdoor.com - Sign in with your IpDoor account

- Create a new system using the QR-code supplied with the IpDoor

Step 2: Activate the Product
Section titled “Step 2: Activate the Product”- Follow the on-screen prompts to activate your IpDoor product


Step 3: Define System Location
Section titled “Step 3: Define System Location”- Define the location of the system (in this example: ‘CyberTwice HQ’)


Step 4: Create a Device
Section titled “Step 4: Create a Device”- Create a new device
- Optionally supply a build number and/or message (these will be displayed on the IpDoor display)


Step 5: Configure Call Button
Section titled “Step 5: Configure Call Button”- Continue with the button configuration

- Keep the default name for the button (e.g., ‘Family name n.1’) or customize it
- User invitation is optional


Step 6: Configure Relay Output
Section titled “Step 6: Configure Relay Output”- Configure the output to use the built-in relay switch


- Select the function type (e.g., ‘door’) and customize the name


- When the ‘Configuration completed!’ screen appears, the base configuration is done

Step 7: Add SIP License
Section titled “Step 7: Add SIP License”- Navigate to Licenses → SIP account

- Add and activate the SIP license



- Select the user to use this license (in this example: ‘Test device’)

Step 8: Configure SIP Account
Section titled “Step 8: Configure SIP Account”- Open the Device section and edit the device


- Click on ‘Settings’ and ‘SIP Account’


- Configure the following settings:

- Click ‘Done’

- The configured SIP account will automatically register. The registration state will be shown (this may take some time)

Step 9: Add IP Phone Device
Section titled “Step 9: Add IP Phone Device”- Go back to the start screen and within the Devices section, add a device

- Select ‘Other device’ and select ‘IP Phone’


- Scan the QR code for the IP Phone license

- When successfully added, configure the following settings:

Username Format
Section titled “Username Format”Use the Teams user’s email prefix (the part before @).
Example:
For Teams user Koos Ridder with emailkoos.ridder@mycompany.com
Enter:koos.ridder
- Click ‘Done’

- The Device section should now contain both a device and an IP Phone

Step 10: Configure Group
Section titled “Step 10: Configure Group”- In the Group section, edit the displayed group

- Click on the ‘Devices’ button

- Select the IP Phone (e.g., ‘Koos Ridder’) to include in this group


- Navigate back to the main menu
Step 11: Configure Door Open Code
Section titled “Step 11: Configure Door Open Code”- Open the Device section and edit the device

- Select ‘Configuration’

- Select ‘Codes’ and add a new code


- Configure the following settings:

| Code value | 0000 (or any code starting with ‘0’) |
| Typology | Deselect ‘Keyboard’ to use this code only for DTMF |
- Click ‘Confirm’

- Edit the newly created code

- Select ‘Activations’ and confirm


- Select the configured switch (e.g., ‘Door’) and confirm


- The code is now configured to operate the built-in switch

Testing the Configuration
Section titled “Testing the Configuration”Configuration of the IpDoor is now complete!
Making a Test Call
Section titled “Making a Test Call”-
Press the call button on the IpDoor touch screen to initiate a call

The call will be established and video will display within approximately 3 seconds

Opening the Door via Teams
Section titled “Opening the Door via Teams”- During the call, click on the three dots (…) in the call screen
- Select ‘Keypad’
- Enter the door code (e.g.,
0000) to trigger the switch and open the door

Installation

Open Microsoft Teams and click on the ‘Apps’ button in the sidebar

Search for ‘cybergate’

- Click ‘Add’ to add CyberGate to Microsoft Teams
Note: You may be asked to provide consent for basic permissions (View your basic profile, Maintain access to data you have given it access to). Accept these permissions to use the app.

After installation, the CyberGate app will open and show the availability menu

Pin the app (recommended): Right-click on the CyberGate icon and select ‘Pin’

Feature 1: Availability
Section titled “Feature 1: Availability”How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”The CyberGate app uses the same credentials as Microsoft Teams and automatically retrieves information about Multi-ring groups you belong to.

Example Scenario
Section titled “Example Scenario”In this example, the user koos.ridder@cybertwice.com is part of two Multi-ring groups:

User Roles

Availability Status

Note: Availability status changes take effect immediately.
Tip: To configure the supervisor role for a Multi-ring group, use the CyberGate Management Portal.
Feature 2: Devices
Section titled “Feature 2: Devices”How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”The Devices menu shows an overview of all configured devices in your Tenant, sorted by location. You can filter results to find specific devices.

Device Tile Information
Section titled “Device Tile Information”Each device tile displays:

Connect Button
Section titled “Connect Button”If a device is configured to receive calls from Microsoft Teams, a Connect button will appear. Clicking this button initiates a call to the device.
Note: The devices shown to a user can be limited using the Device access settings in the CyberGate Management Portal.
Feature 3: Door-Open Button
Section titled “Feature 3: Door-Open Button”Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”During a call between the intercom and a Teams user, you can easily open the door by clicking a button on the sidebar.
How to Activate

Log in to the CyberGate Management Portal

Navigate to Basic → Device

Click the blue edit button to open device details

Fill in the ‘Open door code’
Important: The ‘Open door code’ must match the configured open door code in the intercom device!

- Click the blue ‘Update’ button
Step 2: Add CyberGate to a Call
Section titled “Step 2: Add CyberGate to a Call”-
Make a call from the intercom to your Teams client and accept the call

Click on the ‘Apps’ icon in the top bar

- Add CyberGate — a dialog will open

- Press ‘Save’ to continue
Step 3: Use the Door-Open Button
Section titled “Step 3: Use the Door-Open Button”- A sidebar opens on the left of the call window with the Open door button

Click the button to open the door

End the call when finished
Tip: The Open door button can be added to all future calls by clicking on the CyberGate icon in the top bar during any call.
