answer incoming calls from the intercom or set up calls to the intercom – with 2 way audio and live video – on the teams desktop client, teams desk phone or teams smartphone app and open the door for visitors cybergate is a subscription based software as a service (saas) hosted in azure with cybergate there is no need to set up a hosting environment, no need to download or install any software from cybertwice or a 3rd party, no need to install additional virtual machines, no need for a session border controller (sbc) or extra licenses for your existing sbc no need to get additional pstn grandstream hd video door system for this document we used the grandstream gds3710 (from now on named 'grandstream') to connect to the cybergate service (from now on named 'cybergate') the grandstream gds3712 is also compatible with cybergate secure communication with cybergate the grandstream is certified for secure communication with cybergate start by configuring the grandstream using the following steps first if the connection and test calls are successful, modify the configuration to use secure communication for instructions on how to use secure communication see page 11 of this document this manual also contains an appendix install the cybergate app it describes the installation and usage of the cybergate app for microsoft teams use the cybergate app for microsoft teams to open the door of the intercom by simply clicking on an open door button see the status of your intercom and calling the intercom from teams by clicking on just one button set your availability status in a configured cybergate multi ring group with one click installation of the cybergate app for microsoft teams is highly recommended follow the next steps to configure the grandstream to connect it to cybergate connect the grandstream connect the grandstream to the network, power it on and open a web browser to its ip address sign in as 'admin' with the configured or supplied password of the grandstream when signed in successfully, the first menu shown is the status system info menu navigate to the menu door system settings basic settings \[image cybergate grandstream page 4, image 1] example 123 as in this screenshot maximum number of dialed digits in this case 3, because 123 contains 3 digits modify it to match the chosen number above remote pin to open door choose a code to the following information sip basic settings account active enable sip server cybergate cybertwice com outbound proxy cybergate cybertwice com sip user id use the username provided by the cybergate management portal authentication id use the username provided by the cybergate management portal password use the password provided by the cybergate management portal display name the display name for is configured in the door system settings menu at 'number called when doorbell pressed' as this number (e g 123) is not a valid teams user within your teams environment, you must configure a multi ring group via the cybergate management portal the multi ring group enables you to 'translate' the dialed number (e g 123) to one or more valid and existing teams user(s) https //admin cybergate cybertwice com log in to the admin portal using a microsoft account with admin privileges and navigate to the multi ring settings menu click the blue 'add multi ring group' button and provide the following information name enter the 'number called when doorbell pressed' from the door sys tem settings menu in the grandstream, in this case 123 description describe this multi ring group click the notified when a person rings the grandstream use the first part of the teams user name, so don't add the domain name as it will be added automatically \[image cybergate grandstream page 10, image 1] pressing the call button on the grandstream the grandstream will place a call to the cybergate using the number that is configured in the grandstream in our example 123 cybergate will answer the call to 123, recognizes the 123 number as a 'multi ring group' cybergate checks what teams user(s) to call (as configured in the multi ring group) and will place the call to all teams users in this group the first teams user that answers the incoming call in teams (by clicking the camera symbol) will be connected to the grandstream the call will be established and video will be displayed within ±3 seconds to open the door from the teams call, click on the dial pad symbol in the call screen use the 'remote pin to open door' code configured earlier in the grandstream, this will trigger the relay
